Twinsie Tuesday: Rainbow Honey Hanami

This week's Twinsie Tuesday has us choosing our favorite indie brand! Trolling Etsy for new indie discoveries is one of my favorite pastimes and I love all of the individuality and creativity that the indie polish community has to offer.

It was really hard to pick just one brand, but I decided on my first (and probably still greatest) indie love: Rainbow Honey! I was feeling like something super feminine, so I reached for Hanami, a complex pink and white glitterbomb, with glitter pieces that are holo, matte, pearl and iridescent. It's a very cute, romantic polish that makes me think of flower petals and fancy desserts!

The cherry on top of this perfectly girly confection is a fine gold microshimmer that warms up the polish and makes it look like it's bathed in glowing light. It's subtle (and frustratingly difficult for me to capture on camera), but so gorgeous that I have to mention it. RH has used this type of microshimmer in some of their other polishes and I always feel like it adds just a little extra magic!

The formula on Hanami is excellent. I used two coats, with Essie Ballet Slippers as my base. I wanted to keep the base soft and neutral, to let the glitter really pop and Ballet Slippers is such a perfect shade for when you want to add just a little hint of color, but still keep that clean, blank canvas look.

What's YOUR favorite indie brand? Do share in the comments--positive word of mouth is such a great way to find new indies! :) Plus don't forget to see what my Twinsies picked as their favorites this week!

  4. I have this one! I've only worn it once or twice, but I may have to bust it out again soon...

As for my favorite indie, Digital Nails has to take the top spot for me. I love her colors and her Aint Nobody Got Time For That topcoat is my current go to.
