Twinsie Tuesday: Saran Wrap Manicure

Finally, some nail art I'm not embarrassingly terrible at! Yes, this week's TT theme--a saran wrap mani--marks probably the first time we've had a nail art challenge that I'm not ashamed to post. A saran wrap mani is where you use--you guessed it--saran wrap to create a marbled pattern on your nails. All you do is dab some scrunched up saran wrap onto some wet polish and voila!

For my take, I used China Glaze Creative Fantasy as my base, then alternating nails of Lime Crime Lavendairy and Lime Crime Pastelchio as my second layer. I'd never done a saran wrap mani before, but the whole process was easy and surprisingly non-messy. I'm actually pretty pleased with the results!

Okay, so it's not all that impressive, but "not all that impressive" is a big step above my usual abilities. I do think this mani looks better in person than how it photographs, but still, Jackson Pollock I am not.

Are you a fan of saran wrap manis? I'm a fan of anything that can fool myself and others into thinking that I'm somewhat competent at nail art. ;) Be sure to check out the other TT saran wrap manis below!
