OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know?

Oh yes, I would like to know, OPI. I would like to know how such an atrocious pun came into being. The horror, the horror... Now that I've worked in a British literature reference and addressed how much the name of this polish physically pains me, we can get down to business! OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know? (Ugh...just typing the name makes my insides hurt!) is a brown polish with gold shimmer. It's like a warmer version of China Glaze Ingrid. Please excuse the sideways picture down there, by the way. Blogger did not want it to be horizontal for some reason.

The name may be unforgivable but the polish itself is not bad at all. I'm a little finicky about brown polishes but this one is actually quite nice. The shimmer is subtle but gives the shade a little something extra overall. (It doesn't show up as much as in the bottle though. I took these pictures at night so I used flash, which makes the shimmer appear a bit more prominent on the nail than it normally is.) There's a hint of taupe in this color as well that I like. The formula is great and covered in two coats. I wore this color for three days with no chips. If you're in the market for a new brown, this would make a solid candidate.

  1. GAHHHH this is the third swatch I've seen that convinces me I need to try this one. Sigh. I haven't worn Ingrid yet (I know) ... so I wonder which would look better on me. Decisions, decisions.

  4. I could not decide on this one either way. So when I did make the long trek 60 miles each way to where they have OPI nearest to me, I just got it - not wanting to go back again. Wish it did have more sparkle that showed up on the nail. I might fool with some of my CND effects to see if I can pull up more of that part in this one.
