China Glaze Foie Gras

Hey everyone! Today I've got the first of my picks from China Glaze's new Hunger Games Collection! I love the books and am extremely excited for the movie, so naturally I've been really looking forward to this collection as well.

First up is Foie Gras. This is an interesting color--kind of purple, kind of brown, kind of grey... I dunno what exactly to call it. It's not entire "greige" or "blurple" but kind of in between the two. If you're familiar with shades like China Glaze Channelesque or OPI You Don't Know Jacques then Foie Gras is very much in that family. You could probably dupe Foie Gras if you have a lot of these types of colors already. I was a bit on the fence about this color before ordering it but now that I have it, I gotta say that I love it!

The formula on Foie Gras is excellent; nice and creamy. I used two coats here. It pulls more on the brown side of things on my skintone but I could see the more dominant-looking color changing based on whoever's wearing it. This color doesn't say "spring" at all to me (the entire collection looks way more autumn-centric) but no big deal, I still love it!

  3. Wow, this seriously pulls brown on you! I kinda like that though because it makes this polish particularly unique to your skintone. Great fall shade :)

    1. Yes, it looks a lot different on me than it does in the bottle. My friend got this one too so I'll be curious to see if it looks as brown on her or if it's just me. :)

  5. It's a pretty shade, but I did not pick it up because I felt like I had dupes for this between Essie and the couple that you mentioned. I am going nuts over Riviting and today I put on Harvest Moon and I am just staring at my hands! I need to take it off however and put on something green for the first of the week for St. Patty's day. Not sure what I am going to put on. I seem to want to wear the greens that are not 'typically' speaking St. Patty's green - like the green CG in the Electropop collection or CG Cha Cha Cha - those are summer greens - not St. Patty's greens. Woe is me!
