Hello everyone! Are you ready for the weekend yet or what? I'm currently in the process of moving, which is always super hectic, so I can't wait until that's over with. If you need a little pick-me-up, why not give yourself a shot at some fabulous free polishes by entering my giveaway? This concludes the "shameless plug" portion of today's post.
Anyways, a while back, I showed you OPI I Lily Love You layered over another OPI polish from the same collection, Play The Peonies. So here's Play The Peonies all on its own. It's a pearly pale pink. This is a very demure and lady-like shade but it has some fun shimmer to it too!
The formula is surprisingly not super brushstroke-y and applies marvelously. This is three coats. Polishes like Play The Peonies aren't normally my thing but I think the pearly finish on this is what drew me in. It's really lovely in person. The name is adorable too! Play The Peonies is especially nice for spring--it looks so soft and fresh--but it's also versatile enough to wear year-round for pretty much any occasion, including in the office.
This is a great polish if you need something more understated but still want to have some shine to your mani. Although the Nice Stems Collection came out last year, Play The Peonies is still pretty easy to track down online.
Ooh very lovely!! :D I completely missed this collection >:(
ReplyDeleteIt was surprisingly awesome for a collection of all pinks! I need to get Come To Poppy from this collection too someday!
DeleteI like this color! And you do need to get Come to Poppy - it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It was one of those things where you pass over a color a bunch of times, then when you finally decide you need it, it's nowhere to be found! I really need to just buy it online before it becomes HTF.
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt's funny how this collection is suddenly making a resurgence on the blogs! Must have been a collection before it's time!
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of bloggers fell in love with this collection because it seemed so blah in the preview pics (All pinks? No thank you.) but then was surprisingly awesome in person. Proof that you can make great pinks that are unique and not boring!
DeleteNot a fan of the brush strokes, but this is really pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute <3
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteI recently saw this in person, in Target of all places actually, and it's a pretty shade. I would probably wear it with OPI I Lily Love You layered on top.
ReplyDeleteIt looks adorable with I Lily Love You! How strange you saw this at Target. My Target gets the new Essie and NOPI collections, but only has a small selection of core OPI.
DeleteSo soft and pretty!
