This is such a vivid, rich blue and the jelly finish gives it a shiny, sleek look. I used three coats here, but you could do less depending on how opaque you want it to be. I personally cannot abide any VNL but if you like a more sheer, traditional jelly look you can definitely do that with this polish.
Dating A Royal is a classic color and one that's perfect for summer. Maybe it's the nautical feel the color has to it, but I always associate vibrant blues with hot weather. We're currently having a sweltering heatwave where I live though so I'm kind of over hot weather at the moment!

This is equally elegant and reminds me of Kate Middleton, not just because of the royal title, but because this is the color of her sapphire engagement ring and the famous blue Issa dress she wore when announcing her engagement.
