Azature Coral Diamond

Azature Coral Diamond is a vibrant coral creme. Like all Azature polishes, Coral Diamond is made with a real black diamond, so the creme finish has a beautiful shine to it. I photographed it here without topcoat (since it was the base to my sideways French mani I did a few Twinsie Tuesday's ago) and you can really see how much it shines all on its own! It's also crazy bright, so much so that it completely freaked my camera out. I tried my best to get some good snaps of it, but my camera really did not want to cooperate with this one.

The formula was very nice, covering in three easy coats. I have yet to use an Azature polish that has a less-than stellar formula and this is no exception.

You can purchase Azature from their website.

Twinsie Tuesday: Sideways French Mani

This week, we're doing sideways French manis! I have to admit, I'd never heard of this particular look before. But while I'm not a fan of traditional French manicures, a sideways French did seem pretty fun.

So I busted out some French tip guides and then I used two Azature polishes: Coral Diamond for my base and Lapis Diamond over top.

I'm actually pretty pleased with how this turned out! It doesn't look perfect, but I don't think it's bad for a first attempt! The guides made everything super easy, so all I really had to worry about was clean-up.

I'll be curious to see if my fellow Twinsies liked this theme as much as I did! Be sure to take a look at their blogs today to find out! :)

Revlon Demure

Revlon Demure is a lovely peachy coral with a soft silver shimmer. I received this polish in a swap with my wonderful friend Amanda. This polish came out as part of Revlon's Fire & Ice Collection, which was a tribute to some of the classic shades that helped make Revlon into the cosmetics powerhouse it is today. I think Demure is a perfect summer-to-fall transition shade and an excellent example of a work-appropriate polish that still has some fun and flash to it.

The formula applied without any issues and covered in three coats. The shimmer is more of a sheen than a sparkle, if that makes any sense. It gives the coral a nice glimmer of depth and shine that catches the light beautifully.

Demure is a fabulous palette cleanser shade. It's understated without being dull. I love the classic nature of this color too; makes me think of something you might see Joan Holloway wearing on Mad Men.

Rainbow Honey Fab Summer Set: Review & Swatches

How about some brand new Rainbow Honey to brighten up your day? :) I recently received Rainbow Honey's Fab Summer Set and it is just as bright, fun and sparkly as you would expect! The set, which is available exclusively at Fab, consists of three full-size, all-new polishes--Tenda, Schrammi and Costa del Sol--and retails for $25.

Tenda is a bright kelly green with flecks of gold. I love green polish in general, so naturally I can't resist a green as bright and beautiful as Tenda! This is two coats.

Schrammi is a deep coral with the same beautiful golden flecks found in Tenda. This is such a rich coral and it just screams summer. It makes me think of sipping something sweet and citrus-y poolside. If you're a fan of coral, you need this one!

Then last, but certainly not least, is Costa del Sol, an explosion of holographic, iridescent and golden glitter sure to add a splash of sunshine to any mani. There's no fishing and no placing with this one--just smooth, golden goodness that glides effortlessly across the nail. Here is one coat over Schrammi. (These pics also give you a look at Schrammi in low light, as opposed to the direct sunlight swatch above.)

The formula on all three of these polishes is excellent, as usual from Rainbow Honey. I really like all three polishes, but Schrammi may just be my favorite. All in all, it's an excellent set and a great summer addition to any collection!
