Hare The Sky Was Pink

In an effort to cut down on the massive amounts of untrieds I have, I've put myself on a no-buy and decided to work my way through some of the polishes in my stash waiting to be shown some love. Hare The Sky Was Pink is one of those polishes. I picked this polish up last fall and haven't managed to get it on my nails yet, but that changes today!

The Sky Was Pink is a bright pink jelly base filled with pink and blue glitter. I am not typically a big jelly fan, but this one really stole my heart. It's a perfect spring polish--so bright, girly and colorful!

Although The Sky Was Pink is a jelly, it covers any VNL, which is my main gripe against this finish. I used two coats here. It really is a gorgeous polish and perfectly captures the soft glow of a sunset on a warm day. (Not that I would remember. It snowed here earlier this week. Snow! In April!) There is a lot of variation in the shape, size and color of the blue glitter, which also gives this polish a satisfying amount of depth--not to mention that it's very, very pretty!

Hare Rad Cloud

Meet Hare Rad Cloud. We are in love. <3

Rad Cloud is a pink base with green and purple square glitter; orange, magenta and purple hex glitter; and small round pink glitter. But that description really doesn't do justice to how lovely this polish truly is. It's a very fresh and feminine-looking polish. The color scheme makes me think of spring flowers and candy--both good things! :)

I absolutely adore this polish! I wore it for three days and was actually sad to take it off, rather than itching to change things up like I usually am by that point. I took these pictures on day three and as you can see (unintentional rhyming aside), it held up really well. I didn't have a single chip and there was virtually no tipwear either. The formula is excellent and opaque in two coats. I was a bit afraid that since the base color is so light, I'd have to layer it, but you can definitely wear Rad Cloud alone with no VNL!

Hare Heat Plague

I'm super excited to share my first-ever Hare Polish with you all today! I landed this baby off of Copious a while back. Heat Plague is a green jelly base filled with various sizes of orange, purple and magenta glitter. I absolutely love the color combo this polish has. It's very Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-esque--and I mean that in the best possible way! After all, I am a child of the 90s, so you know I loved the TMNT cartoon and video games back in the day. Anyways, back to the pretty nail polish!

At the first coat, the green base looked really sheer, so I was concerned with opacity. I hate VNL! But I was pleasantly surprised that everything was covered very nicely at three coats. If you want a layered look, I think Heat Plague would go perfectly with Zoya Shawn or something similar. Although the base is filled with glitter, Heat Plague is still a very easy polish to apply.
