I don't really like nude polishes. I do, however, like putty polishes, which I guess are kind of the grungier, grimier sisters of nude polishes. Essie Sand Tropez is a putty-ish beige; sort of a taupe color, really. It's hard to pin down exactly, but whatever it is, I like it.
The formula is great; Essie creme at its best. More than any other major brand, I feel like Essie has a tendency to be hit-or-miss with their formulas, but when they get it right, they are truly top-notch. This was three coats.
I was recently compelled to bust this polish out because Essie Yogaga reminded me of Sand Tropez. Yogaga appears to be a bit darker but they are definitely in the same family. I still want Yogaga though. Addiction is a terrible thing. ;)
I adore these sorts of shades, but they don't look good on me.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I feel about yellow polishes and a lot of oranges--pretty, but they just don't look right on me.
DeleteI love this polish, it's one of my go to colors. So fresh and clean looking
ReplyDeleteI agree completely! :)
DeleteLoving this! I have really become a fan of these kinds of colors!
ReplyDeleteI love a good putty polish! They make great palette cleansers without being too bland.
DeleteI like the way you put that, liking putty but not nude. I never thought of it that way but I'm totally the same way. And I also like this polish :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like having a little bit of grime or edge to my neutrals, so putty polishes are the perfect solution. They're clean and fresh without being boring! :)
DeleteI used to avoid anything neutral like the plague, but somewhere along the line I came to prefer these types of colors >.<
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! LOOKS GREAT on you girly!
