Twinsie Tuesday: Cloud Mani

One of the many ways Twinsie Tuesday has improved my blogging experience is that it's made me more confident with nail art--not necessarily better, mind you, but more confident that I (hopefully) won't make a complete ass out of myself with nail art themes like this week's cloud mani.

I started with a base of Sally Hansen All Fired Up (which photographed a little too red here--it has more of an orange tone to it in real life), then freehanded the clouds from there, using Essie Good As Gold and Essie Mind Your Mittens. I think it turned out pretty well! I even felt bold enough to do the design on both hands and wear it as a full mani.

This was a fun technique to try and I wouldn't mind doing it again with some other colors! It's pretty easy to do, even if you're like me and don't have the steadiest of hands. You just have to do some careful brushstroke placement to create the tops of the clouds, then you're good to go!
