Twinsie Tuesday: Spoiled by Wet N Wild Shuffle The Deck

Welcome to another installment of Twinsie Tuesday! This Tuesday's theme is a layered polish, so I decided to bust out a Shuffle The Deck, a silver, pewter and red glitter from Wet N Wild's new CVS-exclusive line Spoiled. The name is perfect since the glitter is the same color as playing cards. I layered Shuffle The Deck over OPI It's Totally Fort Worth It from last year's Texas Collection.

This is It's Totally Fort Worth It alone. It's a pale silver with subtle pink microshimmer. This polish is pretty sheer and a little brushstroke-y but I like that it's something a bit different as far as silvers go.

Shuffle The Deck's formula is pretty thick and I mostly had to guide the glitter where I wanted it to go. I used two coats here. It has an almost glue-like consistency where I had to really drag it across my nail and you can see a few spots here and there (mainly on my ring finger) where it pulled up some of It's Totally Fort Worth It when I was trying to move the glitter around. Frustrating! I'm not sure if that's due more to user error or the thick formula; probably a little of both.

The formula is just okay but I like the polish itself. It's like a little casino on your nails! I typically prefer my glitters opaque but Shuffle The Deck was a fun change for me.

  3. I picked up Shuffle The Deck last week and I'm excited to give it a try. I love the colors and the name is absolutely perfect. That sucks about the formula though, but it looks great over the silver.

    1. It's a cool polish--very different from anything else I have. But definitely learn from my mistakes and wait a good while between your base and Shuffle The Deck! :)

  6. I totally didn't expect this from you, which I think makes this even more unique. Very cool, reminds me of Atlantic City ;)

    1. Thank you! It's outside my usual wheelhouse but I enjoyed mixing it up--and I dig the casino vibe a lot as well. :)

    1. It seems like from what I've heard different CVS stores are carrying different selections from Spoiled so keep at it! I hope you find the ones you're looking for soon!

  9. i have both of these polishes, and I have trouble with my Shuffle the deck too. I think it's partly due to the brush, which seems to swell up with polish for me..
and I agree about the opi being sheer and brush strokey, but I love the subtle reddish flakes! I don't know if they're ever visible, but we know they're there!!

    1. I'd say you're right on about the brush adding to the problems with the formula. I had the same issue as well where the polish kept clinging to the brush too much. I like the little red flash in the OPI too! Like you said, I doubt the average person looking at your nails would notice it but at least we know to look for it! :)

  10. Very pretty! We both chose a silver base with multi-colored glitter. Great minds think alike :)
