Rescue Beauty Lounge Catherine H

I love everything about RBL's Tudors Collection: the inspiration, the complex colors and the fabulous formulas. Catherine H, named after Henry VIII's fifth wife Catherine Howard, is a regal blue with pink, purple and teal shimmer. She is not to be confused with the equally beautiful Rescue Beauty Lounge Catherine, named for Henry VIII's first wife. Catherine H is simply stunning and most definitely fit for a queen!

And then one with flash:

I'm not a big royal watcher, but couldn't you just see another famous royal Catherine, Kate Middleton, rocking this shade? She's becoming quite the fashion plate! Anyways, back to Catherine H! I own many, many blue polishes but I've got to say Catherine H is one of the most beautiful. This is easily one of my all-time favorite blues. The shimmer on this polish is phenomenal and  I love the contrast between the rich blue base and the light, delicate shimmer. It really brings this polish to life and makes it something special.

The formula is excellent, as I've come to expect from RBL. At the RBL pricepoint, a polish needs to give superior application and this one really does ; it practically glides onto the nail. I took these pictures on day 4 of this mani and it was still going strong with zero chips and no real signs of tipwear.

I could never pick a favorite from the RBL Tudors polishes--each queen is beautiful in her own way! But this is one fantastic, utterly gorgeous polish! You can still get Catherine H on RBL's website, so keep this one in mind next time you're looking to splurge.

  2. The colour reminds me of a favourite pair of jeans, and that little bit of shimmer gives it such a nice texture--so very pretty!

    1. The shimmer is even more beautiful in person. I couldn't quite get the little flashes of pink to come out on camera but they're gorgeous!

  3. Really liking this, it does remind me slightly of the blues from OPI's Holland Collection.

P.s. I love the Tudor Period! xo

    1. It reminds me a bit of those as well. It's a little deeper and richer than either one and has different-colored shimmer but they definitely share some similarities. I love the Tudor Period too!

    1. Buying new RBLs always requires such difficult sacrifices haha. I'm experiencing that dilemma right now with the new pre-order coming up! I'm limiting myself to one, MAYBE two.
