OPI Outrageous Neons Preview

All neon'd out yet this summer? No? Then check out what eye-searing shades OPI has in store for us this July with their new Outrageous Neons minis set!

L to R: White Base, Ridiculously Yellow, Formidably Orange, Riotously Pink, Seriously Purple, Top Coat

I really, really wish these were full-size because I find trying to OPI extremely awkward and messy.
However, this looks like it may be a more affordable alternative to the Deborah Lippmann Run The World (Girls) minis set released earlier this summer. I couldn't find anything about an official price for this set, but I think for me, that'll be the determining factor in whether or not I pick this up. I can deal with the minis if I'm getting a good deal!

Will you be getting this set? How do you feel about minis? Tired of neons or can't get enough of them? Tell me all about it!

  1. These are nice and usually I'm a HUGE OPI fan but I got the Color Club Neons and they are AMAZING!! And so cheap! xo

    1. I wish we got more Color Club here! Studio M put out some new neons though and I'm guessing those are re-packages from Color Club. I got one and it looks awesome!

  2. I LOVE neons but like you, I'm not a big fan of minis. I have 6 minis and don't like any of them...It would be nice if these were also full sized! Thanks for sharing!

    1. I only have two minis (both are bottles of Unripened) and they are just such a bother to apply. I would love if this was a full-size collection we could pick and choose from instead of a set of minis! And you're welcome. :)

  3. Loving neon!! I agree with the mini bottles being really hard to work with.

    1. Yes, I think they're such a pain to apply, the brush is so hard to hold and paint with!

  4. I have to agree, I do not like the minis. The brushes are too hard to work with. I also bought the color club neons and I am loving them. I love OPI but I will not be buying this little set.

    1. Yeah, I always skip the mini sets because I don't like using the brush. I almost feel like the minis are TOO small to be used neatly and easily.

  5. I kinda have mixed feelings about this set. I love neons, but there is no green or blue which I love. I'm not a fan of minis. So I really don't know what I think, lol.

    1. It would've been nice if they put in another color instead of the topcoat, since most people already have a topcoat of choice they use. A green or blue would have been fun! I'm like you though: mixed feelings here!

    1. I think so too. I am intrigued but undecided haha.

  7. I am ambivalent about all OPI's minis. I think they are a great concept but everyone is right ... they are too hard to apply. Plus. If I don't immediately label the minis, I don't know what name/collection they came from.

    1. Yeah, I dunno why they just don't put a little label on the bottom of the minis with just the name. It'd be much more convenient!

  8. Hmm I'm pretty undecided about these. They are all colors we can get in full sized bottles for probably the same price.

  9. I'm all for more neons! And I like minis in theory, getting to try out several colours I might not have otherwise, and these do make a nice set together (even if white and top coat aren't the most inspired additions). But yeah, the lack of labeling on OPI's mini bottles, plus the teeny little brush, make them kind of impractical.
