Twinsie Tuesday: Zoya Shawn

This week's Twinsie Tuesday theme is a simple one but still a favorite of mine: green! Yes, in honor of St. Patrick's Day later this week, all of us are busting out some green polishes. I can totally get behind this theme, both as a green polish fanatic and someone whose heritage is majorly Irish. (My family's last name was anglicized when my ancestors immigrated to the US but originally it was O'Laughlin. If that's not Irish then I dunno what is!) I don't get very into the festivities surrounding St. Patrick's Day--I'm not much of a drinker, truth be told--but I still rock some green to show my Irish pride!

So today I've got an awesome green to share: Zoya Shawn. I'd been wanting this one for a while and finally broke down and bought it back when Zoya had their Valentine's Day promo--because nothing says romance like swamp green, am I right? Shawn is a dark olive green that leans yellow. It's got that aforementioned touch of swampiness to it too, which I just love.

I honestly cannot get enough of these types of greens so Shawn is right up my alley. The formula was very smooth and cooperative as well. I used two coats here. The pigmentation on Shawn is really nice. It's not a bright color but still very saturated, if that makes sense. It's just such a rich shade of green. Zoya are famous for their many green polishes and for good reason: Every one I've tried has been marvelous. Of course there are many more Zoya greens I would love to get my hands on still too!

Speaking of more great greens, be sure to drop by the other Twinsie Tuesday blogs to see more of one of my favorite polish colors. I'm sure I'll be adding at least one or two of their sure-to-be fabulous choices to my never-ending wishlist!

    1. I was a little afraid the yellow undertone might not look so hot on my skin but surprisingly it didn't make me look super yellow-y. Yay!

    1. Yay! I'm glad you were able to get Shawn and that you're loving it! :) I like the swamp green color for Valentine's Day reference, too funny. Shawn is a really unique color, it's dark without being black, green without being Christmas tree green.

    2. Not that there's anything wrong with Christmas tree green!! Ironically I happen to be wearing Don't Mess with OPI right now ;) And sorry for these multiple posts. I tried to add to and then it somehow deleted my first post so I had to "reply" to it, haha.

    3. Yes, I finally got it! I find this shade really unique as well--and I totally get what you mean about Christmas tree green. Shawn is green without being generic green, ya know? :) I want Don't Mess With OPI but it seems soooo close to Jade Is The New Black, which I already have. They both look beautiful though! And no worries about the extra posts--I know Blogger can be uncooperative sometimes!

  7. I think this was one of 3 greens that Zoya had last year first of March in their pay $5 and get 3 bottles of green (pre-picked by them) - no shipping either. I got in on it. They sold out super fast. But then they back ordered me and I did not get my 3 greens until long after St. Patty's day - but still was a great deal with 3 Zoyas for $5! I think it was this shade. Ivanka, and gosh, cannot recall what the 3rd one was. And like many of ya all, I have been digging to get my greens all out. I have a great group of friends who drop in to pick and choose what they want to paint up with for their own St. Patty's day nails.

    1. I think you are right! I wish I'd gotten in on that deal, it's probably one of the best they've ever done! I still have to pick which green I'll wear on actual St. Patrick's Day.
