Twinsie Tuesday: Fruit Mani

I'll preface today's TT post by letting you know that I had a bit of an accident the other day. I burnt my hand and was left with a nasty red, peeling splotch on my ring finger. Naturally my first instinct was not to react to the pain, but to say, "My swatching hand! Noooo!" The whole incident was very Johnny Tremain. (Oh yeah, 1940s novel humor. I went there.)

But the show must go on, so I slathered on some concealer and made a go of it for this week's TT theme, a fruit mani. I have these little 3D fimo pieces I received for review from Born Pretty Store a while back (see my full review HERE) and one of the designs happened to be little slices of strawberry shortcake, so I thought those would be perfect! Hopefully my concealer work and the adorable pieces of cake will be enough to distract you from my burn mark.

For my base, I used Butter London Trout Pout, a cantaloupe-colored creme. (Try saying that three times fast.) I thought it went well with the cake pieces, without being too matchy-matchy that the cake wouldn't really "pop." Burn mark aside, I think this turned out pretty cute! Obviously it's not the most practical mani in the world, but it was still fun and very easy to do.
