Nicole By OPI Kim-pletely In Love

Well now, things just got awkward, didn't they? That tends to happen when the retail lifespan of the polish you wear on your wedding day lasts longer than the marriage itself, Kim. Yes, the Kardashian marriage may be dunzo, but we'll always have the polish.

Ironic name aside, Kim-pletely In Love is actually quite pretty. I passed on this when the Kardashian polishes originally came out at Walmart, but after seeing how pretty it looked in swatches, I decided to pick it up now that these polishes are popping up at Target and Meijer. Kim-pletely In Love is a pale pink shimmer but what really makes this stand out from your average pink is the irridescent blue glassfleck in it!

I love the blue in this; very cool and kind of unexpected. It doesn't show up as well on camera as it does in person, but trust me, it's there. The formula was decent, although this polish is quite sheer so it took four coats for me to reach opacity.

I was really surprised how much I liked this once I had it on. It just feels very sweet and girly. I'm not a pink polish lover but this one is different enough to keep things interesting. So there you have it: Kim-pletely In Love is perfect for the everyday life of a college girl or when you're getting married to that special someone...for 72 days.

  1. The name of this polish is ironic, but I love the color. The blue shimmer makes it different! I haven't been able to find any of these. The last time I was at Walmart, the display was completely picked over.

  2. This is one of the best in the collection; it is gorgeous! :D I also like Rainbow in the S-Kylie, since it is a dupe of Rainbow Connection (which I couldn't get and would have actually been CHEAPER than the Nicole version!).

  3. It's a pretty color on you! I don't care for sheers myself, but that's just me!

  4. So pretty!! Love that light pink. They've got a light pink with a blue shimmer in the Justin Bieber collection too, forget the name, but it's not sparkly like this.

  5. @Ashesela: I agree-and I'm surprised I'm saying that about a pink! :) I have the reverse--I got Rainbow Connection and actually could have gotten Rainbow in the S-Kylie for cheaper later on haha. XD Oh well!

@Polish and Charms: Thanks! I don't care much for sheers either but I gave this one a try since I figured I could build it to opacity without TOO much effort. The blue glassfleck is what sold me!

  7. @Melissa: Yes, the color's a keeper even if the marriage (predictably) didn't last. The name just slays me though. I found mine at Meijer a few days ago but I don't think they have those stores over by you. :(

@Allie-bee: Thanks! I've only got two Bieber polishes (I'm kind of ashamed to admit I own even that many since I'm not a fan of the Biebs) but I'll have to see if I come across that pink. I'm always looking for unique pinks!

@A Pop! of Polish: Thank you and welcome!

  8. Very delicate pink. You are so right the wedding didn't last but the polish will forever, LOL!

  9. @Nory: Definitely a beautiful soft pink! It makes me think of spring! And yes, I guess this is just one more way Kim will continue to rake in the dough from her ill-fated marriage. Oh well, at least the polish is nice. :)
