Liquid Lush: Review & Swatches

Hello everyone! I'm hoping to make up for my recent absence with a big ol' swatch post today! I've got some polishes from a new indie brand called Liquid Lush to show you guys, so let's get to it!

Sandy is a metallic creamsicle orange with gold shimmer. This is very summer-y in an unexpected way; must be that beautiful golden undertone it has. I don't have anything remotely like this in my collection and I wasn't sure I could pull this type of shade off, but once I gave it a try, I fell in love with it!

Ballerina II is a shimmering champagne. I love the idea of this polish--a glowy champagne shade would make for a fantastic neutral--but the application left something to be desired. It's not completely frosty-looking, but it's got some visible brushstrokes that put it in that neighborhood. If you don't mind some frost in your polish, you might enjoy this one, as the base color is lovely, but it didn't quite hit the target for me. This is four coats.

This, however, I can absolutely get behind: a clasically vampy, squishy burgundy jelly. This is so, so perfect and it's impossibly not to feel a bit sexier with this polish on. It's called, appropriately enough, Vixen. I used three coats here.

Pink Kisses is a frosty pink. Again, I am not a frost fan, so most of my comments on Ballerina II could apply to Pink Kisses as well. This one wasn't for me. I used three coats here.

If you like a bit of sparkle with your vampy shades, then Vixen II is your girl. This is a warm burgundy with a luxe gold sparkle. A classic like this is really something you can wear year-round, but to me this seems like an especially nice autumn shade. I can practically hear the leaves crunching when I look at this polish. Below is two coats.

I saved the best for last with Blue Hawaii, a vibrant blue shimmer. I had one reaction as soon as I put this polish on: YESYESYES X 1,000!! And with good reason: it's pretty freakin' amazing! I have a lot of blue polish in my collection and this is unique even for me. It's like OPI Russian Navy and China Glaze Frostbite had a beautiful blue baby. Love, love, love this! This is two coats.

So what do you think of Liquid Lush? My favorites here are Vixen, Sandy and Blue Hawaii.
