OPI Skyfall 007 Preview

I gotta admit, I am a James Bond fan. The movies run the gammit from cheese-tastic to badass, but they're always entertaining. Plus they always feature some outrageously glamorous ladies. What better way to channel your inner Bond girl than with OPI's upcoming holiday collection, Skyfall 007, a collaboration with the newest Bond film? Get a look at the goods!

UPDATE: I forgot to include the real 18k gold topcoat that is launching with this collection as well! It's called The Man With The Golden Gun and retails for $40.

I would have liked to see a little more glitter (this is an OPI holiday collection, after all), but overall the collection looks beautiful and on-theme; those wily Bond gals are all about vampy glamour, after all! Let's not be coy here: I'll probably get the whole set (minus The Man With The Golden Gun--too rich for my blood), because I'm lacking in self-control like that.

I'm very excited about both this collection and the corresponding film. Which of these polishes will you be sporting on your nails this holiday season? What's your favorite Bond film? Mine is probably a toss-up between From Russia With Love and Casino Royale.

    1. Man With The Golden Gun looks super cool, but I'm not sure I can personally justify the pricetag. Eep! But the one preview pic I've seen of it on the nail is gorgeous!

    2. It's only $10 more expensive than usual polishes which isn't too bad lol

  3. Zoya is also doing a gold flake, hopefully that will be cheaper then opi's.

  4. I'm actually excited for this collection! It looks like there's a lot of promising polishes. I'm looking forward to the glitters, the blues, and the grays the most.

    1. I think the greys look really cool, although the whole collection has a lot of potential. :)

    1. You're welcome! Yeah, the swatches I've seen of the Germany collection are a little underwhelming, imo. Hopefully this will be a stronger set of colors!

  6. Wow I want them all :) My favourite 007 is Casino Royal. Daniel Craig is really sexy in this movie and I like the story. The last Bond was a too sad guy for me...

    1. I loved Casino Royale! The story was great and I agree that Daniel Craig is a total babe in it. Yeah, the last one was a bit of a downer compared to other Bond films.

  7. i really want the living daylights. do you think that the man with the golden gun is a glitter topcoat or a golden polish? cause sephora by opi already has that $30 gold glitter

    1. From the one preview picture I've seen, it looks like Man With The Golden Gun is a very similar concept to the SOPI gold flake topcoat. I'd be curious to see if the two polishes are really all that different.

    1. It really is a pretty unique set of colors! Not what I expected from their holiday collection but I'm still very excited! I want Man With The Golden Gun but I don't think my wallet will let me get it since I'll prolly buy all 12 of the regular collection polishes--we'll see. ;)

  9. Woah! This Collection is awesome! Thanks so much for posting this preview! And that "The Man With the Golden Gun" Polish... O.O I saw the picture and just about died! And then saw the pricetag and died all over again... Even the packaging looks awesome! And I'm SUCH a sucker for special edition cool looking packaging! But, I really can't see myself being able to justify the price. =/ I would have totally paid $20! And that's more than twice what the normal polishes sell for! But $40... I just can't imagine convincing myself the polish is worth that much. I kind of wish I could, but it just won't happen... Maybe I'll win it in a giveaway or something... =D
