Essie Mojito Madness

Hey girls! Hope you all are keeping cool this week! It's been inssannneelly hot where I live. I've even been keeping some of my lipsticks in the fridge because I was afraid they'd melt on my dresser. Priorities: I have them.

Luckily I've been keeping cool with a Mojito--Essie Mojito Madness, that is! Mojito Madness is a bright green creme. Since Essie rarely makes greens and green is possibly my favorite polish color, whenever they come out with a new one, I absolutely have to have it! Thankfully Mojito Madness did not let me down.

I adore this color. It's vibrant yet there is a certain softness to it at the same time. It just looks so cute and fresh! For the record, this is lighter than one of Essie's other famous greens, Pretty Edgy, so you don't have to worry about dupes if you already own Pretty Edgy.

The formula is great too. Everything covered smoothly in two coats. I've been wearing this for three days now with no signs of wear and zero chips. Any of my fellow Essie green hoarders (I know you're out there!) will definitely want to pick this one up!

  1. Not really my cup of green tea (I seriously did not mean that as a corny joke...it just kinda came out that way), but it does have such a fresh feeling to it. These bright colors are so happily infectious!

  2. I'm not against green polishes; I just don't really have any. I LOVE this one, though!!!

    1. Thanks! Essie is definitely worth stocking up on. They've dramatically expanded their color range in the past year or so and they have plenty of great polishes worth owning!

The collection hasn't come out here yet but seems promising, I have my eyes set on 3 colors.

  10. I am totally an Essie green freak. Could you compare this against Pretty Edgy and OPI Don't Mess with OPI? Thanks.

    1. I actually don't have Don't Mess With OPI, but I can totally do a comparison against Pretty Edgy. Stay tuned... :)

  11. Ahhh..love this! Looks great on you! My 'nail polish heaven' store didn't have this when I was there this past weekend. It was strange. I totally had my eye on this! I ended up with Essie's "Lights" instead which I'm hoping is more neon pink than it appeared on my toes when I tried to test it. I'm hoping it is! This green is much warmer/brighter than Don't Mess with OPI...I did a swatch of it. OPI is more of a darker green.

    1. China Glaze Starboard, by chance? It reminds me of that quite a bit, yeah. I actually have Starboard, I should add it to my comparison of this polish and Pretty Edgy!

  13. This is really looking like a fab green. I think it's close to one I have from China Glaze as well like Fingers said, but I will decide when I finally see my drug store get them if - if they do that is...we don't get everything in this tiny town I live in.

    1. I'm guessing you're both thinking of China Glaze Starboard. Just based on looking at the bottles, I'd say Starboard is darker. But I'll likely post an official comparison later this week since I've got a few of the potential dupes/similar polishes people have mentioned. :) My apartment's in a pretty rural area but most of the big-name polish collections make it here...eventually haha.
