Spoiled by Wet N Wild Did I Dye It Too Blonde?

Recently I've been wanting to try out a neon yellow. Since I wasn't sure how the color would look on me, I opted for an inexpensive shade, Spoiled by Wet N Wild Did I Dye It Too Blonde?, so that even if it sucked, at least I wasn't out too much cash. Well it turns out the only thing worse than how this polish looks on me is what a nightmare it was to apply.

Warning: This polish looks ridiculously terrible on me and I'm embarassed to even post swatches of it. Forgive me. The horror, the horror...

I am ashamed of how horrific this polish looks on me but I went through polish hell to apply it so dammit, I'm at least going to get some swatches out of it. Needless to say, I took this off almost immediately after taking pictures.

The formula on this polish was absolutely dreadful. It's thick and extremely goopy, like trying to spread glue across your nails. I also had to wait longer than usual between coats (I did four total), otherwise polish would just glob onto the nail. I find the Spoiled brushes to be too wide for my taste, but more irritatingly, several of the brushes I've used have quality control issues like splayed or uneven hairs. This brush even shed three hairs onto my nails just during the course of this mani.

Wet N Wild's other polishes and cosmetics are generally excellent and prove that just because something is inexpensive doesn't mean it can't be a quality product. But sadly Did I Dye It Too Blonde? doesn't measure up. At all. In fact, this is officially my new least favorite polish in my stash. (Congratulations, OPI Gouda Gouda Two Shoes! You've been replaced--by a longshot!) If you're looking for a highlighter yellow, I suggest spending an extra couple bucks on China Glaze Celtic Sun or China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini instead.

    2. I got that one yesterday and it was really watery. i was really disappointed. BUT DONT through it away. if you have a true white nail polish use that as a base and put the yellow on top and it looks excacly like the bottle. Hope this helped!

  2. You are awesome for showing us and sticking it out! I don't have too many spoiled polishes, but the ones I do have the brushes are horrible!

    1. Thanks Meredith! I've got four Spoiled polishes and of the three I've tried, they've ALL had terrible brushes. Two of them I've even had to trim the hairs because I was practically unable to use them as-is.

  3. Good job sticking with it, champ. Dang that's fugly. I had a similar experience with a Spoiled polish, it's called something like "I only eat salads". That brush and formula were a mess.

    1. Thanks Tara! It really is nasty-looking. Not all the Spoiled polishes I've used have such bad formulas, but the brushes have always been a disaster.

  4. Ew, I've heard Spoiled brushes stink. I like Sinful and probably will stick with them.

    1. The brushes are tragic. Regular WnW seem fine, so I'm not sure why Spoiled is such a mess.

    1. Haha well I'm glad I was able to save you a bit of money! Even for two bucks, this is NOT worth it. At all.

  6. That sucks. Nothing more aggravating than losing brush hairs on your nail. :(

  7. And the curse of the yellow polish lives on... Why are they always the worst?
