Pomegranate Nail Lacquer: Swatches & Review

One of my favorite things about nail blogs is discovering new brands. So when Tina from Pomegranate Nail Lacquer contacted me, I was thrilled to give a new-to-me brand a shot! And do you want to know the one thing better than discovering a new brand? Loving a new brand you've tried, which is exactly what happened in this case! Let's take a look at a little sampling of what Pomegranate Nail Lacquer has to offer, shall we?

First up is Cyberspace, a deep brown scattered holo. This reminds me of OPI My Private Jet, but with a greatly improved formula. I dunno what it is with me and MPJ, but it always chips on me within 24 hours, sometimes even 12. Not so with Cyberspace! I wore it for two days and did not experience any chipping by the time I took it off. This polish has such a glossy smooth finish to it and even in indoor lighting, the holo still glows. I really love when you have a holo where it looks like little rainbows are pulsating inside of it and Cyberspace is definitely one of those. This is three coats.

With flash:

Next we have Blue Screen of Death, a vibrant royal blue with turquoise shimmer. I love the name on this one and the color really is the perfect match for the inspiration. This shade has a lot of richness and depth to it; extremely beautiful. It's truly to die for! (Hardy har.) Blue Screen of Death may very well be my favorite of the bunch. This is two coats.

Then last but not least is Mermaid's Tail, a pastel green with a very subtle metallic shimmer. Another perfect name. This is a rather blue-based pastel green so the ocean-y, mermaid vibe is very appropriate. The shimmer on this polish is more muted on the nail than it appears in the bottle and in most lights, it looks closer to a creme than a shimmer. The official description says Mermaid's Tale has "a slight silvery shimmer," which I would say is accurate; the shimmer is much more like a silvery sheen than an outright sparkle. Enlarging the pics will give you a better idea of what I mean. But either way, the base color is still super pretty! I always fall for greens like this one.

Formula-wise, all three polishes performed well and delivered excellent coverage. They're also quite chip-resistant, in my experience. Pomegranate Nail Lacquer is three-free, cruelty-free and made in the USA. Each bottle is $9 for 0.56 oz, which is nice because you get a little more polish than with most brands. Pomegranate Nail Lacquer is available for purchase at their official website.

It's always fun to discover a new brand and I think Pomegranate Nail Lacquer is well worth checking out. They offer a good variety of colors and finishes and I really enjoyed all three polishes I tried.

Disclosure: These polishes were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please see my disclosure policy.

  12. These look oddly similar to another brand... I am pretty sure I have exact dupes of cyberspace and mermaid's tale ... take a look at diamond cosmetics chain mail charm and whisper softly. ;)

    1. I see the similarities! I think Chainmail Charm may be more black than Cyberspace, just based on pictures I've seen, but I can't confirm since we don't have Diamond Cosmetics where I live. :( But you've got a good eye!!
