Essie Absolutely Shore

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a good weekend! I've been working every day this weekend but I'm still fitting in a good amount of relaxation, which of course includes manicures! Also, I hit 325 followers today (Woo!) so I figure it's about time for a giveaway on here! Keep your eyes peeled for an official post later this coming week once I'm able to perfect the prizes! :)

Until then, I've got another beautiful Essie polish from Beauty Stop Online to share with you! This time it's Absolutely Shore, a very pale pastel green creme.

Absolutely Shore is paler and more blue-based than your typical pastel green, so it's pretty unique. I was a bit worried a polish this light was going to be streak city, but after the first coat, the opacity actually builds up very evenly and with minimal effort. Plus the color didn't give me lobster hands! This was three coats in all, although a few of my nails were fine with two thick coats.

I've wanted this polish since it first came out last year in the Braziliant Collection. (By the way, you can check out the titular Essie Braziliant HERE if you missed it earlier this week!) I'm not sure why it took me so long to wind up with Absolutely Shore but now that I finally have it, I'm sooo glad it's in my stash! I have a weakness for all greens but pastel greens are some of my absolute favorites. Absolutely Shore only further solidifies my opinion that Essie needs to make more greens, because they really hit it out of the park whenever they do! I totally love this color and for me, it was well worth the wait!

What's your favorite Essie geen? Is there a polish you're lemming that you see a lot but never pull the trigger on for some reason? I'm always guilty of this with core polishes. If there's something seasonal/limited edition, I'm always drawn to those first out of urgency, which is kind of a shame because there are so many great core polishes out there deserving of attention!

This polish was sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please see my disclosure policy.

  1. oooh, this is so pretty! At first glance it reminds me of butter LONDON Bossy Boots - but maybe a tad lighter? I am loving this.

    1. It's definitely in the same family as Bossy Boots! You're right about it being lighter--I think it may be a bit more blue-based too but I'm not sure. And thank you! :)

  2. I think alot of the time we forget about the pretty core polishes. I know I have been guilty of it myself. I love this color, btw!

    1. Thanks Jenna! I always tell myself the core polishes will be there in the future if I want them so I should snatch up seasonal stuff while I have the chance. But I am trying to show the core polishes some more appreciation! :)

  8. I love that essie is starting to do more shades besides pastels, but this one is just so lovely--I love the hint of colour, and the finish is ridiculously pretty! I think my favourite green they've done is probably Navigate Her. ;)

Congrats on hitting 325 followers, Chelsea! ^_^

    1. Essie makes some seriously gorgeous pastels! I'm not sure I could pick a favorite Essie green, although I *do* second your love for Navigate Her and of course this one is up there as well! I guess mine might be Mojito Madness, but it's a close race. And thank you! :)
