Hare Heat Plague

I'm super excited to share my first-ever Hare Polish with you all today! I landed this baby off of Copious a while back. Heat Plague is a green jelly base filled with various sizes of orange, purple and magenta glitter. I absolutely love the color combo this polish has. It's very Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-esque--and I mean that in the best possible way! After all, I am a child of the 90s, so you know I loved the TMNT cartoon and video games back in the day. Anyways, back to the pretty nail polish!

At the first coat, the green base looked really sheer, so I was concerned with opacity. I hate VNL! But I was pleasantly surprised that everything was covered very nicely at three coats. If you want a layered look, I think Heat Plague would go perfectly with Zoya Shawn or something similar. Although the base is filled with glitter, Heat Plague is still a very easy polish to apply.

You can order Hare from the brand's Etsy shop or Llarowe. What do you think of Heat Plague? What are some of your favorite Hare polishes?

  1. LMAO @ your TMNT reference. My sister and our godbrothers used to play them when we were little. Can't remember who was who now, haha.

There are a couple of HAREs that intrigue me, but not enough to pull the trigger at the moment.

    2. LOL! I think we really just wanted pizza. Yeah, that's what it was.

    3. Hahaha totally, it had to have been about the pizza! That, or we had a secret passion for Renaissance-era artists...who fight crime as ninjas.

  2. seriously love this on you. I want to try this over so many different bases! but I'm glad you were able to make it opaque in a not-grotesque amount of coats:]

    1. Thanks Sarah! I was worried about finding a good base so I was happy it was opaque enough on its own. :)

  3. Ah, this is gorgeous! It's such a good find on Copious too! I am really loving that site. All of the Hare polishes are gorgeous, so it's hard to choose a favorite. I hope to get some soon!

  5. Really love this one - great for fall too. I am not big on glitter but I do like this one...Hare makes some great combos...I like that most of the Hare polishes have the base shade in them - no need to get out 4 different polish bottles to get the look.
