Whimsical Ideas By Pam Saturday Morning Cartoons

Today is a sad day in the blogging world, as we collectively mourn the loss of Google Reader. Goodnight, sweet prince. I've made the switch over to Bloglovin' to keep up with all of my favorite blogs (You can import your whole Google Reader blog list with just one click!), but I'm still going to miss good ol' GR. So with that business out of the way, let's talk polish! I recently received my very first Whimsical polish, Saturday Morning Cartoons, as a birthday gift from my amazing friend (and birthday Twinsie) Nory! Saturday Morning Cartoons is a dark blue jelly base filled with blue, silver, green and red glitter. This is a very fun polish that could double as Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe's more colorful, playful little sister.

It started pouring rain before I could take some snaps of this polish with my camera, so I hope these iPhone pictures I took in the parking lot at work will give you at least a glimmer of how lovely this polish is!

The jelly base goes on sheer at first but I built it up to complete opacity in four coats. You could stop at three if you aren't as ridiculously particular about concealing any trace of VNL as I am. Although this polish is filled with all kinds of glittery goodness, it still applies evenly.
