Zoya Astra

Zoya only has a handful of true glitter polishes in their line, so as a glitter fanatic, I'd been curious to try one out. I got Astra, a sheer red polish with pink and red glitter, as a birthday present from my friend Jenna last year. This is an older Zoya that came out in 2009 in the Ultra Glitter Collection.

This polish reminds me a lot of Dorothy's ruby slippers. It's very pretty and the addition of the pink glitter gives it some extra texture and dimension, which I always love. It sets it apart a bit from all the other red glitters out there.

While I like the way Astra looks, I wasn't impressed with its thin and runny formula. I had to be very careful with how much polish I got on the brush and keep wiping the brush down, otherwise the polish would slide right off my nail and make a mess. The iffy formula was more of an annoyance than a deal breaker though.

Have you ever tried any Zoya glitters? If so, what did you think?

  2. Pretty red glitter! I've always wanted to try Zoya Luna but I actually have a dupe of it, so now I don't need it, but it's still gorgeous.

    1. Thanks! I only have a handful of Zoya. We just don't have a lot of the brand where I live. Most of the time I get mine online or in swaps!
